This page will cover my children's hamsters.

All the hamsters are fine. Casper is nearly 3 years old now but is not showing his age he still loves playing and eating. He also loves cuddles with Lucy my daughter. April has now lost her excess weight and is also very happy and she can be handled too. Puffy is still differcult to hold as he is so small and very fast but he doesn't miss out on anything as he now loves running around the lounge in his hamster ball and he is very fast in it.

We have 2 hamsters who are very much loved. The first hamster is called 'Casper' (after the friendly ghost) and he is a pure white syrian hamster. We have had him for a few months now after he had been left at a local pet shop when he was 7 months old, the petshop contacted me and i was pleased to take him. My son Matthew is 14 and hamsters are his favourite pet. Casper loves being handled and loves running around in his wheel. He is very much part of our large family here.

Our second hamster has only been with us for a few weeks and he is a fairly new breed of hamster. He is a Dwarf Roborovskis hamster and he is very tiny. I have had little russian hamsters before but never this breed and he is even smaller then the little russians. He is only a baby and he came with the name 'Puffy' and we liked the name so we have kept it. I know this breed of hamster prefers living with others of the same breed but 'Puffy' came from a lady who wanted me to have him after he was being picked on by his litter mates, so because of this it is better he lives by himself. His cage is kept next to 'Casper' so he has some hamster company. Being so small he is very fast at running so a little differcult to hold but we do still try. He is so cute he has these beauitful white rings round his eyes and some other lovely markings. It is very hard to get a photo of puffy as he won't stay still he is very fast.

On saturday 12th April i picked up a new dwarf russian hamster. She looks either over weight or she is very pregnant i am keeping a close eye on her. My son has decided to call her April.
