Our girls are all doing well and enjoying this hot weather they all love sunbathing and also enjoy it when i spray them with cool water. They are all laying lovely eggs which we are all enjoying.

I will add some new photo's soon so watch this space.

First is Beyonce she is a white sussex hen and she is now 4 years old and we have had her since she was a 10 day old chick. She is the boss of the hens and new hens quickly realise this. Beyonce likes to follow me about when i'm in the garden and she also loves a cuddle.

Below is a pic of Beyonce (its not a great one because at the time she wanted to run off but we couldn't let her because were redoing the hen house and run & we need to put up new fenceing for safety)

In this photo you can see how big beyonce is compared to my other girls.

Next i got Bananarama she was a year old when i got her 2 years ago. I got her as a friend for Beyonce because Beyonce's friend Kylie had died. Bananarama is a Araucana breed of chicken and she lays small bluey/green eggs. These eggs are the same as white eggs on the inside so can be eaten the same.

Recently i got 4 more Araucana hens from a lady who was downsizeing her flock. They are all just over 1 year old and more less impossible to tell apart so i have called them Girls Aloud (minus 1 hehe)

Here is a quick video of the chickens that my boys made, if you blink you will miss it. The hens were all around their food bowl having just been fed. I always put some food in a bowl and some is scattered for them to find. I also feed live meal worms as a treat. They will also eat our left over food their fav is pasta bake and french fries.

I THINK BEYONCE NEEDS A BATH AS SHE KEEPS ROLLING ABOUT IN THE MUDDY PART OF OUR GARDEN AS SHE LOVES MUD BATHS.
