Well i haven't updated this for a while so i thought i would let everyone know what is happening.
The last few weeks have been very busy. Every Tuesday i have been taking my daughter up to the Royal London hospital for them to take off her double plaster cast and then to slightly move her feet and then to re-plaster. Last Tuesday she had the casts taken off for the last time and is now in her normal splints. So now the harder work starts as she has to have physio on both her legs everyday this physio is done by my hubby and I we are hoping this will stop a further major op on her right leg cos at the moment the injections she had have not worked on her right leg. She is happy to be out of the casts and boy did her feet smell. We came home from the hospital and she went into the bath and had a nice long soak but her skin is still very dry and will take weeks to get right.
On another note you can see from the updates on the website that i have collected some new and wonderful animals who will now live with me and my family.
I go on holiday on August 15th - August 31st so i won't be available on those dates or the few days before and after. Please don't worry about the animals as they will be well looked after by a close friend of mine who only lives round the corner from me and over the 2 weeks she will be spending most off her time here at my house. She's looking forward to it as she lives in a flat so she's hoping the weather will be fine and she can spend her time here in my garden.
Hope everyone has a great summer and please remember to check your animals waterbottles more often in the hot weather.
Hi All just wanted to let everyone know that my daughter who is 9 years old is having an operation on wed/Thurs this week on both her legs and she will then be in double plaster cast for 8-10 weeks, so although you can still contact me via email or phone i might take longer to get back to you.
My daughter has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and this op is to stretch the tendons in both her legs to enable her to walk better. She now has an op of this type about once a year and this will keep happening until she stops growing because in cerebral palsy children their bones grow but the tendons etc don't.
